Want to learn cooking skills while competing in a cooking competition of your own? In this exciting 4-H camp we will be cooking, learning safety and culinary skills, and competing as teams in our own version of the show “Chopped!” – complete with a mystery ingredient that you will have to use in your dishes! We’re so excited to offer this camp which will allow kids to learn or improve their cooking skills, discuss nutrition, and have a fun, friendly cooking competition!

Open for kids age 10 – 18 (as of January 1st 2024). Price to be determined. Youth will be cooking their own dinners each day, but if they don’t want to eat the food provided, then they will have to bring their own dinner. The program will take place at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Craven County Center Auditorium Kitchen on the following days from 5:00-7:00 p.m. each day. Water will be provided. The final day is a Saturday competition where youth will actually compete in teams for the best meal.
