Collapse ▲The Craven & Pamlico 4-H It’s Electric! program is an exciting hands-on opportunity for youth to explore the fundamentals of electricity, circuitry, and STEM concepts in a fun and engaging way. Designed for 4-H members of all experience levels, this program invites young learners to build, experiment, and discover how electrical systems work through interactive activities, challenges, and real-world applications.
Why It’s Important
In today’s world, understanding science and technology is more valuable than ever. It’s Electric! helps youth:

What to Expect
Participants in It’s Electric! will:

Learn about basic electrical concepts like current, voltage, resistance, and conductors

Build simple circuits and explore how electricity flows

Use hands-on kits and materials to complete fun projects

Work individually and in groups to solve challenges and present results
No prior experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!

Whether you’re a beginner or a young scientist in the making, It’s Electric! offers a great way to light up your curiosity and build lifelong skills. Sign up will open soon. The fee is one payment of $20 for all 4 sessions in the Spring which covers all your materials.
