Youth ages 8-18 with chickens are encouraged to participate in the Egg-cellent egg competition. Youth learn how to collect their own eggs for production. Youth should:
- Register for the competition
- Pay a $15 registration fee (includes awards, and a t-shirt)
- Watch the initial training, and the in-depth training (live or recorded)
- Complete the educational, supplemental portion.
- Submit 6 eggs for judging.
- Watch the awards Zoom to celebrate their hard work
Important Dates to Remember
September 8 – Registration Ends September 12 – 5:30 p.m. – Initial Training via Zoom – Zoom link will be sent before the training September 22 – Registration fee is due to the Hoke County Office September 26 – Egg-citing, In-Depth Egg Training- Zoom link will be sent before the training November 7 – Eggs & supplemental portion submissions due (your county deadline may be sooner!)
