Chopped Cooking 2026

Welcome to the Craven-Pamlico Chopped 4-H Cooking Program—an exciting, hands-on culinary opportunity where youth sharpen their skills in the kitchen, explore nutrition, and unleash creativity with food! Inspired by the popular “Chopped” format, this program challenges 4-H members to think on their feet, work as a team, and prepare delicious dishes using mystery ingredients.

What Is Chopped 4-H?

Chopped 4-H is an engaging, hands-on cooking experience that combines culinary skill-building with cultural exploration from around the world. Each month, youth discover a new country or unique culinary celebration and prepare featured foods inspired by that culture. Through guided instruction, participants learn essential food and kitchen safety skills while expanding their understanding of global traditions and flavors. Chopped 4-H encourages creativity, curiosity, and confidence in the kitchen, giving youth a fun and meaningful way to develop lifelong skills and a broader cultural perspective.

These skills support lifelong well-being, boost confidence, and prepare youth for success both inside and outside the kitchen. Whether you’re a seasoned young chef or just curious about cooking, Chopped 4-H is a delicious way to build skills, make friends, and have fun with food.
