Cesar Asuaje, Spanish speaking Pesticide Educator from the University of Florida Extension will lead the trainings. Check-in’s will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the program will start at 8:45 a.m. The training will last until 3 p.m. and at that time the NCDA&CS will offer the pesticide exam (in Spanish). Pre-registration is required. The classes will be limited to 50 participants on a first come, first serve basis.

Higher success in passing the exam requires preparation for the schools. Plan to order the (SPANISH) NC Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual at the Pesticide Safety School website.

Additionally, N.C. Cooperative Extension has prepared a 3 part video series to help prepare participants for the school and what to expect. Visit the NC State Extension Farm Safety & Health Youtube page to access the Spanish Pesticide Applicator Preparation videos.

These programs are ideal for farms that have Spanish speaking employees that are applying pesticides and anyone that is interested in getting their private applicator certification in Spanish.
