Food Safety Modernization Act Workshop – Requirements for Small Farms

Have you heard about the new federal food safety regulations and that small farms are exempt from this law? Come get the facts about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)'s Produce Safety Rule. You will learn how the practices in the rule are relevant to small farms and how your farm may be impacted by the Produce Safety Rule.

This workshop is appropriate for new farmers, small and medium-sized farms and roadside stands.

Location: Lenoir County Cooperative Extension Office, 1791 Highway 11 S, Kinston

Date and Time: Thursday, June 27, 2019. Dinner will be served at 6 pm, the program will begin at 6:30.

Cost: There is no cost for this workshop, please pre-register so we can have an accurate count for catering.
