Given the current restrictions limiting travel and public meetings, it is not likely that face-to-face meetings will be allowed for individuals needing recertification credits for a pesticide license for those within Craven and Carteret any time soon. Rather web meetings will be offered.

Individuals other than Private Applicators (farmers) may attend one of the pre-approved, self-paced classes found at the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Division. Or, if preferred, specific topics can be searched by category at the NCDA&CS Pesticide Calendar.

Private Applicators needing either the Pesticide Safety (Category V) or Specialty Credits (Category X) may search the NCDA&CS Pesticide Calendar. In most cases, it will probably be necessary to schedule times for each category since classes may still be limited in number and most classes offered don’t include both credits. (Category X and Category V).

Please be aware that while these are web-based classes, in many cases, participation is limited. Pre-registration is required for most. A web camera is required for attendance. For most, proof of attendance is the entry of your pesticide license number and verification of attendance by an NCDA&CS Pesticide Division representative also attending the class. As such, make sure you have your pesticide license. Anyone that does not have their card may look up the card number at the NCDA&CS Pesticide Division Pesticide License Database.
