Learn to grow tree fruit for sale or personal use. We will cover tree fruit that grow well in coastal North Carolina as well as the details that you need to know to grow them successfully. We will discuss the fundamentals of growing in the morning and then move outside after lunch for a pruning demonstration. Please dress for the weather. Featured crops will include peaches, apples, and pears.

About our speaker:

Dr. Mike Parker is the Tree Fruit Extension Specialist and Associate Professor at NC State University. He works extensively with apples, peaches, and alternative tree fruit crops.
