Interested in becoming a Master Gardener in Craven County? Register for our upcoming classes beginning on September 11 by calling the Cooperative Extension Office at 633-1477. For additional information on the Master Gardener program in Craven County, visit our Extension Master Gardener site, and choose the ‘Become a Master’ pull-down menu.

**The cost of the course is $40 per student. Students may also purchase the manual at an additional cost. The hardback is $60 and the e-book is $50. The manual may also be printed out for free at go.ncsu.edu/eg-handbook.**

All classes meet from 9:00 a.m.-noon at the Craven County Agricultural Building 300 Industrial Drive, New Bern (Clarks exit off Hwy 70) unless otherwise stated.

In addition, credit will be given for attendance at any of the following Extension events:

  • July 21 – Plant Diseases and Herbicides, Agricultural Building, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
  • August 18 – Succulents and Cacti – Agricultural Building, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
  • September 15 – Traditional Horticulture and Plantings in ENC – Tryon Palace
  • October 20 – Glenburnie Park Plant Tour, 10:00 a.m.
